About UsMCAL was organized 25 years ago to promote a competitive program of swimming and diving among summer league swim clubs located in southwest Alabama. As of 2018, we have 12 swim teams representing over 1000 swimmers and divers of all ages and skill levels. We value these teams and swimmers and are fully committed to providing a safe, positive, and rewarding environment for them to compete every summer.

(MCAL is dedicated to promoting the sports of swimming and diving by making the experience fun and fair for ALL swimmers - no matter what level. We sponsor and promote four meets at the end of every summer. They include: The City Dive Meet, The Guppy Meet (6yrs and under), The MCAL Qualifier Meet, and The City Championship Meet (aka "City Meet"). The City Meet is the finale and is usually held the last weekend of July on a Friday & Saturday. It is divided into two age groups (8-and-under and 9-and-over). A swimmer's age bracket is determined by their age on the 1st day of competition. It is always hosted by CMSA (City of Mobile Swim Association) and is held at Bishop State Community College's Natatorium located in downtown Mobile, AL. MCAL club members are divided into 3 separate divisions according to the size of their team roster on July 1st. 1 - 50 swimmers is Division 1, 51 - 100 is Division 2, 101+ is Division 3. Clubs in each division compete against each other on a point scoring basis which always promotes a spirited competition among all teams.

Our History |
MCAL was formed in 1994 to help bridge an alliance between summer swim clubs in Mobile, Baldwin, and Clarke counties. In so doing, we have formed a firm foundation of spirited competition between teams and their swimmers.
